Overview
Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a
Project Portfolio Analyst for Change Management & Transformation
for a long-term consulting assignment with one of our premier Management Consulting clients. This role is not an IT Project Manager; the candidate should be a functional consultant for a team that handles strategic planning, transformation, and change management functions for a global operations team. You will play a pivotal role in the development and management of our strategic planning and implementation process for major workstreams where your work will directly impact our organization's success. The environment is dynamic and collaborative, offering a platform for individuals to apply strategic and organizational skills. Candidates should be able to take a consultative approach in engaging internal teams (Big 4 or comparable background is highly preferred). The role works as part of a PMO-like operational team.
Responsibilities
Assisting Managers with functions such as strategic planning and implementation process, facilitating the development of quality outcomes.
Achieve understanding of the implementation and management of the operating model (i.e., governance, tracking, performance measurement, talent and resourcing, development, etc.) for the same.
Provide insight across the spectrum of work by connecting dots and raising or enabling the raising of substantive blockers. You will provide information and insights to senior management for decision-making related to the portfolio, such as prioritization, resource allocation, and adjustments in strategy.
Ensure that projects are on track, resources are allocated appropriately, and communication flows smoothly between project teams and leadership.
Manage a portfolio of our Solutions, providing clear communication to all channels.
Work on multiple projects with varied solutions, so strong project management skills are required.
Be a personal contact point for senior solution leaders offering first-level advisory services to internal clients.
Know when something needs escalation, how to manage a variety of situations, and be comfortable managing finance and budgets.
Required Skills
Experience with any major tools for project management functions – MS Project, JIRA, etc
Candidates should be able to grasp things quickly, deal with ambiguity, and create structure.
Excellent problem solving, analytic, and project management skills – often working on several projects at the same time, requiring artful orchestration and prioritization and the ability to play different roles
A can-do attitude with a willingness to "roll up the sleeves”
Outstanding communication skills
Strong business acumen, data structuring, and quantitative reasoning
