Job Summary

Sr. Payments Advisors partner with Relationship Managers and work with industry specific companies to drive efficiencies in the payments process. They thoroughly understand client issues and recommend solutions based on industry knowledge and Key’s product set. As the client’s trusted advisor, they develop, manage, and retain profitable client relationships and deliver cash‑management expertise to clients and prospects. The role involves independent prospecting, bringing new clients into Key using consultative and strategic sales skills, and contributing to the team’s overall portfolio growth. Location

1301 5th Avenue, Seattle, Washington Responsibilities

Create and execute a sales and marketing strategy that achieves established market penetration, cross-sell, revenue, and client acquisition goals. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Relationship Managers to acquire, expand, and retain business clients with payments/treasury management needs. Lead the prospecting charge for new client acquisitions, partnering with Relationship Managers in strategic dialogues to turn prospects into clients. Serve as the trusted advisor for clients with cash‑management needs, developing and managing profitable relationships. Identify client needs and provide solutions; participate in client management activities, including in‑person client calling and relationship reviews. Deepen existing relationships by identifying integrated solutions to unmet client needs, partnering with Relationship Managers, and building strong networks with Centers of Influence. Collaborate with Relationship Managers to stay current on client relationships and maintain fluid communication with internal partners for seamless service and sales visibility. Work with Sales Analyst to prepare sales presentations, relationship reviews, and business process reviews, providing comprehensive recommendations. Utilize industry expertise by conducting cash‑management external speaker series and seminars as part of KeyBank’s vertical strategy. Maintain an accurate, relevant, up‑to‑date account of sales activities in Salesforce; respond promptly to client and partner requests. Leverage the implementation and client‑management teams to ensure superior onboarding and an excellent client experience; motivate and hold others accountable, ensure proper documentation, and own corporate communication during execution. Be a subject‑matter expert on all payments/treasury management needs within the area of responsibility; represent the organization and generate leads at industry conferences, regional events, and market functions. Speak at payments/treasury management and industry segment events. Perform other duties as assigned, with responsibilities potentially changing over time. Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including professional conduct, ethical business practices, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients. Education Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Accounting, Finance, Economics) or Technical Sciences (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics) – preferred. Experience Qualifications

5+ years of payments/treasury, or cash‑management consultative sales experience, or experience selling FinTech solutions such as ERP, A/R and A/P Automation, Tax Automation, Expense Management – required. Experience with public and government entities – required. Strong sales skills with a proven track record of sales expertise – required. Tactical Skills

Ability to influence C‑Suite level and present transformative business solutions, ROI, and value propositions. Proficient in consultative and strategic solution selling, defining needs, matching value propositions, and closing deals. Thorough understanding of client financial and business operations. Knowledge of financial concepts, payment processing, commercial banking operations, and supply chain management. Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and execute a growth strategy. Excellent organization and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to manage projects, strategies, and timelines to accelerate sales activities. Self‑motivated and able to collaborate effectively in cross‑functional deal teams. Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving ability. Core Competencies

Routine and frequent travel, including overnight stays. Compensation And Benefits

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $96,000.00 – $181,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may vary based on skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation also includes eligibility for incentive compensation, which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
