POSITION SUMMARY The primary duties of this position include loan due diligence for loan origination, loan documentation preparation, post-closing, and post-closing document review. Be proficient in Laserpro, loan boarding, loan compliance, appraisal and environmental management, insurance and HMDA determination. Handle the origination, closing and post-closing process to ensure accurate and complete files. Work with the sales team and manage the closing calendar to ensure timely delivery of loan documentation. Onboard originated loans, fund, process extensions and renewals, post‑close quality review, and perform UCC and DOT filings and extensions. Develop efficient processing procedures for all aspects of loan origination.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

High Essential:

Provide exceptional client service both internally and externally. Monitor pipeline of loans to ensure timely and accurate turnaround to sales team and provide WOW client service. Review Loan Approval Sheets for accuracy and compile all needed loan due diligence documentation for each loan package.

High Essential:

Order appraisals, environmentals, flood certification, credit reports, and ensure all documentation is within policy and all forms are in the loan package. Produce loan documentation using the Laserpro System and ensure accuracy before origination. Manage closing process including interacting with attorneys and processing wires and internal tickets.

High Essential:

Review loan documentation for accuracy including internally prepared loan documentation and attorney‑prepared loan documentation. Accurately onboard commercial loans to core system and review data input. Review loan files for completeness and follow‑up on any missing or needed items in a timely manner. Assist business lenders to clear tracked exceptions by requesting financial and document exceptions from clients, attorneys, title companies, etc.

High Essential:

Regularly attend work at the Bank’s place of business during regular business hours.

Low Essential:

Research payment issues and other system‑related loan issues. Produce exception reports and weekly reports required by management. Professionally communicate with other departments to solve issues and onboard products. Review files for accuracy and stay up‑to‑date with latest compliance changes.

Non Essential:

Maintain a professional atmosphere with internal and external clients. Attend team meetings.

Other:

Other duties, as assigned. Cross‑train and back‑up others, as assigned.

EDUCATION High School Degree Required. Associates Required or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.

RELATED EXPERIENCE At least 7‑10 years processing commercial loans including previous Laserpro experience.

QUALIFICATIONS : GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Documentation requirements for loan origination.

Produce closing documents using the Laserpro System.

Onboard business loans to the CORE system.

Train, coach, and answer questions from lower‑mastery levels around appraisal management and closing process management (including required external documents).

Identify issues with application of onboarding of new products; develop solutions and implement improvements.

Help manage the full commercial loan process with correct titling and storage of underwriting documents.

Apply principles and processes: Time management and multi‑tasking.

General overall knowledge of the bank’s accounting principles and software; general business banking underwriting knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS : PIEDMONT KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of the Laserpro System.

Knowledge of the loan onboarding process.

Knowledge of the FISERV DNA System.

Train, coach, and answer questions from lower‑mastery levels around commercial loan processing, loan servicing process and procedures, compliance management.

Identify issues with application of general business banking loan process; develop solutions and implement improvements.

Commercial loan documentation preparation, loan boarding, exception tracking, loan review.

Apply principles: Collaboration/teamwork; prioritizing, multi‑tasking, meeting deadlines, working independently on multiple projects.

Consistent communication to various parties.

Knowledge of loan servicing processes and procedures; credit underwriting processes and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS : TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Loan closing document preparation.

Train, coach, and answer questions from lower‑mastery levels around loan compliance and appraisal management.

CONTACTS Lending officers, Attorneys, Direct client contact/service, Financial institutions, Government agencies, Homeowners’ insurance company/agents.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This job is conducted in an office work environment, and is generally sedentary but may require walking at times. Most of this position’s duties require use of a computer. Some travel via car or air, and evening/weekend work may be required.
