
ACCOUNTING INVOICING SPECIALIST

Overview
Wallace Montgomery is searching for an Accounting Invoicing Specialist to join our team in our Hunt Valley, Maryland office. As an accounting specialist you will be responsible for performing and supporting the firm’s billing, invoicing, and project accounting functions with minimal supervision. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely invoices, sub-consultant and joint venture billing, and work-in-process reporting. The role provides direct support to the Vice President, assists with financial reporting and analysis related to projects, and serves as a key liaison across departments. Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, experience with Deltek Vantagepoint, and working knowledge of payroll processes are essential.
Responsibilities
Prepare and process monthly invoices
Review and resolve all discrepancies on Sub-consultant and Joint Venture invoices, working in collaboration with project managers
Enter and maintain sub-consultant invoices in the accounting system
Review, resolve discrepancies, and process inspector time and expense sheets
Set up and maintain new projects, contracts, tasks and revisions including EWO's and transfers of hours and expenses
Create and maintain spreadsheets to track projects invoicing, lump sum analysis and work-in-process
Assist the Vice President with project financial analysis, reporting and billing-related inquiries
Support the management of overall financial health
Serve as backup for employee timesheet processing related to job costing and payroll
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
Experience with using Deltek Vantagepoint
Experience with payroll processing and operations
5-10 years of experience in performing accounting with a strong emphasis on invoice and project billing
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Advanced understanding of accounting systems and principles
