Real Estate Transactions & Finance Associate (Leasing Focus)

Multiple Locations (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, Orange County, Chicago) Direct Counsel is seeking a
Real Estate Transactions & Finance Associate with 4–5 years of experience
to join a nationally recognized real estate practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on
high-profile leasing and real estate transactions
for institutional clients, developers, and major corporate tenants. Key Responsibilities: Draft and negotiate complex commercial leases, with a focus on office leasing transactions
Support acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and joint venture matters
Prepare and negotiate purchase and sale agreements and loan documents
Manage closing processes, including coordinating closing checklists and documentation
Collaborate with attorneys and clients on sophisticated real estate transactions
Qualifications: 4–5 years of transactional real estate experience
Strong experience with commercial leasing (tenant-side preferred)
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
Active bar membership in good standing
