Overview The Senior Claims Specialist administers information from clients by phone, email and fax in order to process insurance claims. This role works with clients, adjusters, and producers on claims status, problems, and questions. Additionally, it is responsible for managing claims, collaborating with insureds, and assisting with problem solving in conjunction with the Claims Manager/Team Leader. This position is fully remote supporting the Energy practice within GGB.

Can take findings and communicate them in a written format with excellent grammar and tone.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Reports claims for clients and works directly with both insureds and claimants to identify new claims.

Reviews claim forms and related documents for completeness, calls or writes insured or other involved persons for missing information, and posts or attaches information to the claim file.

Follows up on claims to secure adjuster and claim numbers and updates claim reporting information for companies when necessary.

Follows up on claim acknowledgements and adjuster assignments for large claims as appropriate.

Serves as contact for adjusters and insureds for claims‑related issues.

Resolves coverage questions to provide the best possible claim outcomes for clients.

Prepares claims information for presentations as requested.

Resolves customer claim issues in coordination with the Claim Manager/Team Leader to reduce E&O exposure.

Manages complex claims and accounts.

Performs other duties as assigned.

About You

High school diploma and 5 years related claims experience required.

Good understanding of claims processing and the insurance brokerage business.

Licensing required.

Tech savvy; ability to learn multiple systems including Microsoft Office Suite and Agency Management software.

Preferred

Strong organization and communication skills.

Strong understanding of commercial insurance with the ability to read and interpret complex policies.

Experience in EPIC.

Knowledge or experience in Energy industry‑related claims.

Compensation And Benefits We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
