Packaging Engineer
for a top consumer goods manufacturing company. You’ll join the Design team to design, develop, and test innovative structural packaging that meets cost, schedule, and performance goals while supporting brand and product objectives. This is a 3 month contract opportunity. The role is located in Long Island City, NY and is Hybrid (in office 3 days/week). Responsibilities
Partner with graphic designers to translate marketing needs into functional, shelf-ready packaging solutions Evaluate packaging feasibility, cost, materials, manufacturability, and global sourcing options Create accurate dielines, samples, and technical documentation; review production samples for quality Collaborate with domestic and international manufacturing teams to drive innovation, quality, and cost reduction Intermediate–advanced proficiency in ArtiosCAD and SolidWorks; working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Strong understanding of corrugated, paperboard, blister, and plastic packaging materials and processes Experience delivering retail packaging from concept through production Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Portfolio of structural packaging designs required Benefits
