Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week | Standard Business Hours

We are seeking a Senior Employee Relations Specialist / Senior HR Coordinator to support both the administrative and consultative functions of Human Resources. This role combines hands-on HR operations with employee relations advisory support, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and effective workforce management in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong HR operations experience, working knowledge of employment law, and the ability to exercise sound judgment while managing competing priorities.

Responsibilities

HR Operations & Administration

Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, orientation, and system access

Maintain accurate HRIS records, personnel files, and compliance documentation

Retrieve and provide employment records in accordance with policy

Track mandatory training, certifications, and compliance requirements

Prepare employment verifications, HR correspondence, and reporting

Support performance review cycles and employee engagement initiatives

Manage multiple HR processes simultaneously with high accuracy and timeliness

Employee Relations & Advisory Support

Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices

Support employee relations matters including documentation, fact gathering, investigation participation, and summary preparation

Assist managers with performance management, corrective actions, and development planning

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

Analyze HR data and provide insights to support informed business decisions

Contribute to policy updates and continuous process improvement initiatives

Exercise independent judgment to assess risk and recommend compliant solutions

Respond promptly to time-sensitive workplace matters with practical, solution-oriented approaches

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

2-5 years of progressive HR experience combining HR administration and employee relations

Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance best practices

Experience in fast-paced, high-volume environments

Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Proven ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure

High level of discretion and confidentiality

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent)

Experience supporting workforce initiatives and compliance-driven HR environments
