Job Title: Marine Electrician Job Description We are seeking skilled Marine Electricians to join our team, supporting US Naval Ships

Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting and correct malfunctions on ships, boats, and marine equipment.

Conduct tests and experiments, making minor modifications in setups or procedures as needed.

Select, set up, and operate standard test equipment, and record test data.

Repair electrical wiring, restore electrical connections to power ship engines and navigation systems.

Secure work areas aboard vessels to avoid electrical hazards.

Maintain specified records of engineering data, perform computations, and plot data.

Perform routine tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests.

Essential Skills

Experience in electrical work in a related field and shipboard experience.

Ability to obtain an OSHA 10 certification and respirator qualification.

Experience with attaching fiber optic, RJ‑45, DB type connectors.

Ability to read drawings at a tradesman level.

Experience with preliminary QA testing, MCTs, and space closeouts.

Competence in multipin connector work and electrical testing requirements.

Ability to work in high heat spaces and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Active DoD Secret clearance.

OSHA Certification.

Fiber optic certification.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, VA.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
