Role Overview Want to be at the center of the data center boom? Layton's Mission Critical (MC) group is building the infrastructure powering America's digital future—data centers for the world's biggest tech companies. We need a Marketing & Engagement Lead who can keep pace with our explosive growth.
You’ll be the go‑to person for all marketing and communications activities for MC—orchestrating everything from project milestone ceremonies to managing comprehensive signage programs that meet exacting client standards. You’ll work directly with MC leadership while coordinating across corporate marketing teams (Communications, Digital, Social Media, Video, Creative Services) to amplify our presence in the data center industry.
This role combines high‑profile events, client relationship building, and brand management across a national portfolio. You’ll navigate NDA requirements, coordinate joint venture partnerships, and ensure brand consistency across all MC projects—while having the autonomy to shape how we engage with clients and celebrate our teams.

Key Responsibilities Event Planning & Execution (50%)
Plan, coordinate, and execute all MC events including project milestone ceremonies (groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, topping outs), client appreciation events, philanthropic initiatives, industry conferences, and internal team celebrations.
Coordinate event logistics—venue management, catering, AV needs, PPE, gold‑plated shovels, branded materials, and shipment from regional hubs.
Navigate NDA and security protocols at sensitive data center sites, ensuring compliance while creating meaningful client experiences.
Coordinate multi‑party events for joint venture projects, managing diverse stakeholder expectations and branding requirements.
Work within established event budgets and manage expenses to ensure cost‑effective execution.
Partner with MC Graphic Designer, Creative Services, and Corporate Marketing team to create event branding and promote events while respecting client confidentiality.
Manage event inventory including swag, banners, and promotional items.
Project Signage Program Management (30‑35%)
Own all MC project signage coordination—meeting stringent client branding requirements is non‑negotiable.
Work directly with MC Graphic Designer to develop compliant signage packages that meet exact client specifications for branding, size, scale, copy, and wayfinding.
Navigate strict client branding guidelines and NDA restrictions for mission‑critical facilities while ensuring rapid turnaround as new projects come online.
Maintain signage standards, templates, and inventory for common MC project types.
Manage signage budget, vendor relationships, and coordination between regional hubs and project sites nationwide.
Communications Coordination (15‑20%)
Serve as single point of contact between MC leadership and all corporate marketing support services.
Surface compelling MC project stories and coordinate content development with Communications team while navigating NDA and client approval requirements.
Coordinate MC promotion across all channels including executive industry event attendance, philanthropic initiatives, team achievements, and project milestones.
Partner with MC Graphic Designer on all design requests including social media graphics, executive presentations, event signage, and marketing collateral.
Maintain master MC marketing calendar in Monday.com and ensure brand consistency across all materials.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration (5‑10%)
Partner with MC business development teams to align marketing activities with pursuit strategies.
Coordinate closely with Senior Marketing Manager on BD initiatives when marketing support is needed.
Work with Project Assistants to gather project information, photos, and milestone details.
Support MC leadership with strategic marketing planning and prioritization.
Maintain strong relationships with distributed MC teams across the country.
What You Bring
5+ years of marketing, event planning, or business development support experience.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high‑priority initiatives simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
Resourcefulness and problem‑solving abilities to navigate complex client requirements, NDA restrictions, and multi‑party coordination in highly secure environments.
Self‑starter attitude with enthusiasm and energy for tackling a high‑growth market sector.

Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (Monday.com or similar).

Specialized Experience:
