Job Description
Are you a driven, strategic sales professional looking for a high-impact opportunity in media? WBAL-TV, Baltimore’s NBC affiliate, is looking for a Multimedia Account Executive to develop and manage business across television, digital, and streaming platforms. This is a rare opportunity to sell marquee sports programming and premium content, including:
Baltimore Ravens
Sunday Night Baseball
Sunday Night Football
NBA
The Olympics
The Preakness Stakes
Compensation:
Commission-based (Potential earnings: $50,000 – $75,000+, plus discretionary quarterly bonuses)
What You’ll Do:
Generate revenue across WBAL-TV’s platforms (TV, digital, streaming, and web)
Prospect, contact and present to new businesses
Develop new revenue through local business development, non-traditional business
Form strategic and market partnerships with local businesses and national advertisers
Sell high-profile programming like Sunday Night Football, The Olympics, and major sports franchises
Manage and grow active account/client portfolio
Conceptualize, create, and deliver sales proposals that are consistent with station strategies, including customized, research-driven presentations
Achieve individual sales goals while contributing to WBAL-TV’s dynamic sales team
What We’re Looking for:
3+ years of media sales experience preferred (TV, radio, digital, or related industry)
Proven ability to develop new business and sell to local business owners
Experience with the development of new business/non-traditional business
Strong negotiation skills and consultative sales approach
Experience in a consultative customer-focused business atmosphere
Accountability within a goal-structured organization; experience in a goal-driven, competitive environment
Understand and use qualitative research to further sales effort; ability to analyze market research and position clients for success
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with sales software (Wide Orbit, Wide Orbit Media Sales, or similar programs a plus).
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Related military experience will be considered
