What You’ll Do Horizon Media is hiring an
Senior Design Lead, Presentation Focus
to support creative needs across the agency – with a heavy emphasis on PowerPoint presentation design for both new business and internal initiatives. This position will work closely with stakeholders across Horizon’s departments and the design team, taking full ownership of design projects, leading them from start to finish, driving creative vision, and delivering projects with minimal guidance.
Senior Design Lead, Presentation Focus
reports directly into Director, Communications Design and Creative of Treehouse, the creative connections practice at Horizon Media.
You will be a key, awesome member of a small and growing team. Though your design skills should be razor sharp, you will also be asked to bring strategic thinking and curiosity. We aren’t just producers; we are also creators and problem solvers. As we grow our empire, responsibilities may change and fluctuate. Therefore, the ideal candidate will be excited about learning, unafraid of challenges, and ready to jump into new and unexpected projects.
PowerPoint Presentation Design: 75%
Work within PowerPoint to create best‑class, pixel perfect presentations for new business, existing clients, and internal initiatives
Build templates, layouts, graphic content and develop and/or curate imagery, data visualization, charts, infographics, illustrations, and iconography to support key messages for each deliverable
Translate complex information (i.e. charts, tables, stats, etc.) into effective, dynamic, and easy‑to‑understand visuals
Agency Branding & Communications: 15%
Partner with internal teams on agency marketing materials and communications, including social design, logos, and internal communications
Collaborate with team members and participate in creative discussions, contribute input to the overall visual design of deliverables
Creative & Design Thought Leadership: 10%
Take full ownership of design projects, leading them from start to finish, driving creative vision, and delivering projects with minimal guidance
Consistently look for new presentation trends and work to develop current and new skills
Quality control projects and work toward high level of quality and cohesiveness
Act as mentor to junior design colleagues and share best practices across the broader organization
Who You Are
Must have exceptional organizational skills and thrive on managing multiple projects
Able to multitask while exhibiting great attention to detail
Must have strong intrapersonal skills, and be confident in managing talent of diverse seniority to ensure deadlines are met
Ability to write business briefs, case studies and general business correspondence.
Must be able to work well under pressure, ‘remain calm amidst chaos’
Strong people skills
Must be deadline‑oriented
Preferred Skills & Experience DESIGN CHOPS
5+ years design experience, preferably with a marketing, communications, or media agency
Advanced expertise in PowerPoint, as well as robust working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and Illustrator)
Strong visual storytelling capability and passionate about setting the bar high
Diverse portfolio demonstrating:
Expert presentation skills – including text and data‑rich content
Marketing and branding work (social and video work is a plus, but not required)
WORK CHOPS
Critical attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and consistency and ability to thoroughly check own work
Can openly give and receive thoughtful and constructive feedback
Excited about taking initiative, working independently as well as a part of a team
High level of emotional intelligence, with ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership and clients
Up for a challenge; unphased by tight deadlines and working across a wide range of projects (we may not be a circus, but we still like to juggle)

Salary Range $100,000.00 - $120,000.00
