Job Summary The Manager – Digital Product role sits within Avangrid’s Customer Experience and Digital Transformation organization, leading a team of Digital Product Owners to deliver customer‑centric digital solutions across multiple states. This position shapes the digital product vision, drives cross‑functional alignment, and supports major transformation initiatives that enhance customer experience, increase digital adoption, and advance Avangrid’s sustainability and growth goals. It’s a strategic, high‑impact role within a global energy leader, operating in an evolving Agile environment and ensuring the digital product portfolio meets the needs of customers and regulators across all service territories.

Responsibilities

Define and Lead Digital Product Strategy – Develop and articulate a comprehensive digital product vision aligned with Avangrid’s strategic goals, customer needs, and sustainability objectives.

Manage and Mentor Product Teams – Lead a team of Digital Product Owners, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.

Oversee Product Portfolio Execution – Ensure timely and high‑quality delivery of digital products across web, mobile, and emerging platforms.

Drive Agile Product Development – Champion Agile methodologies, ensuring consistent sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery.

Align Product Roadmaps with Business Goals – Translate corporate objectives into actionable product roadmaps and ensure alignment across departments.

Foster Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work closely with Marketing, IT, Customer Care, Legal, and Regulatory teams to ensure seamless product development and compliance.

Champion Customer‑Centric Design – Ensure all digital products are designed with the customer in mind, leveraging user research and feedback.

Monitor Product Performance – Use KPIs, analytics, and customer insights to evaluate product success and inform continuous improvement.

Manage Stakeholder Expectations – Serve as the primary liaison between executive leadership and product teams, providing regular updates and managing expectations.

Lead Innovation Initiatives – Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation and competitive advantage.

Ensure Regulatory Compliance – Oversee product compliance with all relevant regulatory and cybersecurity standards across jurisdictions.

Develop Vendor Partnerships – Manage relationships with third‑party vendors, ensuring quality delivery and alignment with product goals.

Lead RFP and Procurement Processes – Oversee the development of RFPs and selection of vendors for digital tools and services.

Promote a Culture of Continuous Improvement – Encourage experimentation, learning, and process optimization within the product team.

Establish Governance and Reporting Structures – Implement frameworks for tracking progress, managing risk, and ensuring accountability.

Support Change Management Efforts – Lead change initiatives to support digital transformation across the organization.

Drive Digital Adoption – Develop strategies to increase customer engagement and adoption of digital channels.

Represent Digital in Executive Forums – Present product strategies, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Build External Industry Relationships – Establish partnerships and networks across industries to benchmark and inspire digital innovation.

Ensure Financial Stewardship – Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring digital investments deliver strong ROI.

Required Qualifications Education & Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Digital, Business, or related field and 8+ years of experience in digital product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and digital transformation practices.
