About Us Merinos is a growth-minded DTC ecommerce footwear brand focused on premium Merino wool shoes designed for comfort, performance, and everyday wear. We sell entirely online and currently acquire customers primarily through paid media (Meta & Google), with strong interest in expanding organic social and brand storytelling.
We’re looking for a motivated, modern-thinking brand strategist/content manager to help us build a more distinctive brand presence and significantly elevate our social media content and engagement.
The Role This is a hands-on, execution-focused brand/social media role.
You will own the day-to-day creation and management of our organic marketing presence, from brand storytelling and creative ideation to content production and posting.
This is
not
a performance marketing role (paid ads are handled internally), but your work will inform and support paid creative strategy.
Core Responsibilities Brand & Creative Strategy
Help refine and evolve brand voice, tone, and visual identity
Develop content pillars and storytelling angles
Ensure brand consistency across social platforms and website
Contribute creative direction for campaigns and launches
Social Media Management
Manage day-to-day posting across platforms (IG, TikTok, etc.)
Build and execute a social content calendar
Generate captions and website articles aligned with brand voice
Manage public engagement on behalf of the brand (commenting on posts, etc.)
Content & Creative Production
Ideate and produce creative content, both static and video (both personally and commissioned)
Coordinate UGC sourcing and creator collaborations
Tailor content for social formats
Website & Marketing Creative
Support creative for homepage, PDPs, and landing pages
Assist with campaign visuals and messaging
Repurpose social content for web/email usage
What Success Looks Like
Consistent, high-quality social posting cadence
Clear brand voice and visual cohesion
Increased engagement rate and sales performanceGrowth in followers and community interaction
Strong pipeline of creative assets usable in paid ads
Requirements
Recent, hands-on social media management experience
Portfolio of brands/accounts you’ve managed
Proven ability to create engaging short-form content
Strong eye for design, brand, and storytelling
Comfortable working in a remote, DTC environment
Self-directed/motivated and execution-oriented
Nice to Have
Footwear or apparel experience
UGC sourcing / creator management
Light video editing (CapCut, Premiere, etc.)
Familiarity with paid social creative strategy
Engagement Structure
Monthly retainer (based on 10–15 hrs/week)
Ability to scale hours if impact warrants
Fully paid trial month, month-to-month after trial
Potential to convert to full-time role
