The Livingston County Convention & Visitors Bureau (Explore Brighton Howell Area) is the official destination marketing authority promoting and developing the visitor experience to targeted leisure, business, and group travel segments for sustainable community economic growth and quality of place.

We inspire travel! We want visitors to explore our area, eat in our restaurants, stay in our hotels, get out on our lakes and trails, and have fun and if need be, get business done.

The Social Media Coordinator supports the EBHA’s marketing goals by capturing content, posting daily updates, managing social channels, and engaging with visitor and partner audiences.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Create engaging, destination‑focused social media content highlighting local attractions, events, and experiences.

Explore the area for things a visitor would travel for to gather content to publish on social platforms.

Manage social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, engagement, and analytics tracking.

Monitor social channels by engaging with visitor-centric businesses and responding to comments and messages.

Maintain and execute a content calendar in collaboration with marketing staff.

Track and report on social media KPIs and prepare monthly performance summaries.

Manage various web pages on the explorebrightonhowellarea.com website through Craft CMS

Support the Marketing Director in organizing and executing projects to enhance the area as a visitor's destination.

Find and share User-Generated Content via the SnapSea platform.

Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in digital marketing and social media.

Qualifications:

1+ year experience managing social media professionally.

A strong drive to learn and further your marketing career.

Experience in social photography or light graphic design (Canva, Adobe Express).

Experience in social media management, including content creation, scheduling, and analytics

Experience with short-form video and basic editing.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media management tools.

Strong writing and communication skills.

Livingston County Resident or knowledge of the area and its attractions.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Requires physical activity for extended periods of time, such as computer work/keyboard typing, telephone use, bending, reaching, twisting, sitting, and standing.

Requires occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects over 25 pounds.
