Job Description
Nemours is seeking an Awareness and Promotion Specialist for Nemours Children's Reading BrightStart in Jacksonville, FL. This position sits in the Nemours Children’s Health National Office of Policy and Prevention and supports early literacy goals of the department and the health system. Reporting to the Director, National Practice and Prevention, the specialist will lead development and expansion of relationships with early literacy stakeholders in Nemours service areas and nationally, emphasizing partnerships in Delaware and North Florida to increase sales and use of Reading BrightStart! and improve early literacy skills of children from birth to age 5. Primary Functions
The specialist will assess the landscape of early literacy stakeholders in Delaware and Florida, communicate opportunities, risks, barriers, and recommended solutions, and strategize, plan, schedule, and manage partnerships to meet partnership development and sales goals within Reading BrightStart! and the early literacy goals of the health system. The role will serve as a trusted consultant, implementer, and integrator to help the organization meet kindergarten readiness goals and develop strategic alliances with key community and external constituency groups. Frequent travel within Delaware and Florida for meetings and events, with occasional U.S. travel for conference presentations, is required. In-person meetings in Delaware and North Florida are expected to average once per month. Nemours Children’s Reading BrightStart! is a collection of products and resources used by educators, parents, and other adults to build early language literacy skills of infants and children from birth to age five. Manage and implement relationships with local, regional and national partners; recommend expansion of early literacy strategies and collaborate with other workgroups. Leverage subject‑matter knowledge to create and manage program strategies that support early literacy goals, including marketing campaigns and targeted communications. Research and analyze best practices; advise leadership on cost‑effective measures and share information for continuous improvement. Support senior leadership by building key contacts and managing relationships with national stakeholders to advance early literacy strategies. Update leadership team with analysis on strategic progress and external environment through formal presentations and reports. Advance outreach efforts as the lead communicator and message developer for national strategic early literacy partnerships. Perform additional miscellaneous duties as assigned. Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a business or education‑related field required; Master’s preferred. 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing, and building partner/customer relationships. About Us
