Do you love bringing plans to life? Are you energized by design details while still honoring a homeowner's larger vision? As an
Interior Designer , you will work closely with Senior Designers to transform concepts into executable construction plans. You will guide selections, finalize drawings, support estimating, and collaborate with on-site superintendents to ensure the design vision is delivered with excellence. This role blends design execution, client interaction, and field collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Measure homes onsite and create accurate "as-built" drawings
Develop note plans and elevations
Partner with estimating and production to obtain trade quotes
Lead final material and fixture selections with clients
Attend production walk-throughs with the Superintendent and the Project Manager
Participate in pre-construction meetings onsite with trades and homeowners
Create and distribute final laminated construction drawings
Complete mid-project reviews with the production team
Attend key project milestones (post-demo, framing, finishing, and closing walks)
Ensure seamless handoff from design to production
Qualifications
1 or more years of client-facing experience required
Degree or certificate in Architecture, Space Planning, and/or Interior Design
Proficiency in Chief Architect (working knowledge required before start date). Familiarity with 20/20 and AutoCAD is a plus.
Ability to learn and execute the FBC Remodel design/sales process
Experience working in collaborative, deadline-driven environments
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
Ability to perform on-site measurements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Pay and Benefits
Full-time, W-2 Employment
Base Salary: $50,000 to $65,000
Commission:
0.5% of contract price
Typical project size: $100,000 to $300,000
Expected commission range: $10,000 to $35,000 annually
Commission is paid on closed, executed contracts according to the company payroll schedules.
