Our Client is an Italian-headquartered design company specializing in historical and contemporary furniture. They curate mid-century modern pieces and bespoke contemporary collections, bringing a refined design perspective to the North American A&D community.

The company has recently established its U.S. entity and is expanding its presence across North America.

The Role Our Client is seeking a

Design Sales Specialist

to join its NYC team and support business growth across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

This is a

hands‑on, client‑facing role

combining sales support, showroom activity, client interaction, and operational coordination. The role reports directly to the

Principal

and is ideal for a junior‑to‑mid‑level profile eager to grow within a boutique design environment.

Ideal profile:

Background or strong interest in luxury furniture, interiors, or design

Consultative, relationship‑driven mindset

Comfortable engaging with architects and interior designers

Strong aesthetic sensibility and curiosity

NYC or major U.S. design market experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

Support sales from inquiry through order coordination and follow‑up

Manage inbound leads from design marketplaces and digital channels

Welcome and assist clients in the NYC showroom

Support relationships with interior designers, architects, collectors, and private clients

Coordinate with Italian HQ on product availability, logistics, and lead times

Maintain CRM records and support digital sales activity

Training & Development

Initial training in Italy (approx. 2–3 months)

Hands‑on exposure to products, operations, logistics, and company culture

Close collaboration with the Italian team and company leadership

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in design, interiors, luxury furniture, or a related field

Empathetic, organized, and proactive working style

Interest in learning and growing in a hands‑on role

Familiarity with CRM tools and digital platforms a plus

Fluency in English required; Italian language, preferred

NYC‑based and authorized to work in the U.S.

Willingness to travel to Italy for training
