The Senior Producer is a new senior leadership position responsible for overseeing both the creative execution and business operations of P3 Productions. This role will work in close partnership with the Co-Founders to steward productions from development through closing, manage the company’s operational infrastructure, and help shape the long-term strategic vision of the organization. This position is ideal for a seasoned producer and general manager who thrives at the intersection of artistry, operations, and leadership, and who is excited to help scale a growing producing office. Production Oversight Lead the planning, development, and execution of P3 Productions’ theatrical productions in collaboration with the Co-Founders. Oversee production timelines from early concept through closing night. Manage and negotiate contracts with artists, creative teams, venues, and producing partners. Oversee production budgets, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining artistic integrity. Management & Operations Support, negotiate, and manage third-party vendor contracts and ongoing relationships. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and union requirements. Oversee outside co-producing investments and investor-facing financial reporting. Supervise and support the P3 Associate Producer. Strategic Leadership & Growth Collaborate with the Co-Founders to develop and implement P3 Productions’ long-term strategic vision. Identify and pursue new business opportunities including touring, co-productions, and international collaborations. Lead independent fundraising efforts and cultivate relationships with major investors and producing partners. Serve as a primary liaison to Co-Founders, providing regular updates on company performance and strategic initiatives. Represent P3 Productions with external partners, investors, artists, and industry stakeholders. Ideal Candidate
Minimum of 5 years of senior-level experience in production and/or general management within the commercial theatre industry. Strong expertise in budgeting, financial management, and contract negotiation. Deep familiarity with theatrical unions. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to balance creative collaboration with operational rigor in a fast-paced producing environment. Passion for supporting artists, building sustainable producing models, and advancing the theatre industry.
