BURKE + CO., San Francisco, California, United States, 94199
Our client, a well-backed & fast-growing fintech company, is seeking an expert Executive Assistant to support several members of their C-suite. The ideal candidate is a strategic, operationally minded person who has experience supporting high-level leadership within a tech startup or venture capital firm.
This is a meaty role at the center of the executive team where you will serve as a force multiplier — creating clarity in complexity, protecting time, and enabling leadership to operate at their highest level!
THE NITTY GRITTY:
Executive Inbox & Communication Management Manage high-volume external and internal inboxes (investors, partners, vendors, internal teams) Triage and flag urgent matters; archive and eliminate noise Create clear daily priorities so executives know what requires immediate attention vs. what can wait Draft and refine professional communications on behalf of leadership Strategic Calendar & Time Optimization Design structured, intentional calendars that minimize context switching Group similar meetings to reduce cognitive fatigue Protect time for deep work, gym, lunch, and personal priorities Provide daily schedule briefs so leaders walk into high-stakes conversations prepared. Accountability & Executive Effectiveness Push back respectfully when schedules drift or priorities are compromised Ensure late-afternoon hours are protected to support work-life boundaries Act as a gatekeeper and strategic partner, not just a scheduler Operational & Weekly Reporting Support Partner with the executives to collect weekly updates from 10+ team members Synthesize complex inputs into concise executive summaries for the CEO Follow up across teams confidently and diplomatically to ensure timely submissions Bring structure to recurring reporting processes. Culture & Community Building Help fuel a highly social, close-knit culture by organizing team events Proactively learn what teammates are into and turn those interests into shared experiences (fitness classes, workshops, team outings, etc.). Act as a connector across teams — someone who naturally builds community and strengthens relationships Participate in and attend events, not just organize them — this role is for someone who truly enjoys being part of the crew Daily Operational Support Own small but meaningful tasks that improve executive well-being (e.g., consistent lunch ordering, routine building) Build sustainable systems that reduce friction and decision fatigue Anticipate needs before they arise THE ESSENTIALS:
