Classification Pay Scale In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Expected Pay Scale Minimum: $90,000.00 Annually

Maximum: $90,000.00 Annually

Job Summary The Associate Director of Alumni Engagement will work closely with the Senior Director, Alumni Engagement to create and implement alumni engagement plans, developing and implementing a comprehensive engagement program designed to provide meaningful long‑term and immediate strategies for the engagement and stewardship opportunities in support of the University’s strategy, as well as alumni and stakeholder engagement objectives. This position will assist with alumni participation and support through integrated outreach and relationship management.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Alumni Engagement and works closely with the Project Manager, Alumni Engagement and Events Staff.

General understanding and knowledge of the alumni constituencies and the principles/foundation of alumni relations.

Exceptional and honest communication skills, both orally and in writing, as they pertain to alumni engagement.

Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, strong database management and ability to produce detailed reports.

General working knowledge in Adobe Suite applications—Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator preferred, but not required.

Proven ability to collaborate across complex organizations and with a wide variety of constituents.

Ability to effectively work with other team leaders and members.

Occasional travel and evening or weekend work related to alumni events and institutional initiatives may be required.

Flexible scheduling or adjusted work hours will be used, where appropriate, to accommodate extended work periods.

Familiarity with advancement relationship management systems preferred but not required.

Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and other computer application programs.

Working knowledge of social media networks (Instagram, Facebook, X (Former Twitter)).

Advanced organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills, including skill in creative and effective decision making, problem identification/avoidance resolution and strong project management skills.

Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes.

Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent related experience required.

Experience: Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in program planning, alumni engagement or related experience or equivalent.
