Eligibility & Basic Conditions

The SAP Academy for Services & Consulting is a development program designed for individuals with 0‑3 years of professional experience; candidates with more than 3 years of experience will not be considered. SAP is not offering current or future visa sponsorship (includes NO F1/OPT) for this role. The role requires candidates to be onsite at an SAP office or customer location 3 days per week, in alignment with our Pledge‑to‑Flex policy; candidates must live locally to the SAP location they’re applying to. SAP is not offering relocation benefits for this role.

About the Academy

The 12‑month SAP Next Gen Academy for Services & Consulting offers classroom learning and role‑focused rotations, building a strong foundation in consulting, project management, technical, and solution support to prepare you for success in Customer Services and delivery.

Who You’ll Become

As a Business Transformation Services (BTS) Consultant, you will develop into a trusted transformation professional who helps customers realize measurable business value from their SAP investments. Through progressive responsibility, coaching, and hands‑on experience, you will learn how to:

Build foundational consulting, enterprise architecture, and value management skills.

Support strategic transformation initiatives across the customer lifecycle.

Grow from contributor to leading workstreams and supporting executive engagements.

Gain exposure to governance, roadmapping, adoption strategy, and innovation in enterprise environments.

What You’ll Do

As part of the SAP Academy for Services & Consulting, BTS Consultant will support customers across three core dimensions of transformation:

Strategic Guidance Prepare executive‑ready materials (roadmaps, governance updates, value scorecards). Document business objectives, KPIs, and milestones. Contribute to discovery workshops and translate requirements into structured transformation plans. Track KPIs and support value scorecards and health assessments. Contribute to business cases, benchmarking, and CCOE/adoption initiatives. Support innovation and AI‑enabled transformation use cases.

Operational Execution

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree required (business, information systems, engineering, or related field preferred); SAP coursework or certification is a plus.

1–3 years of experience in consulting, technology, business analysis, or enterprise software environments.

Ability to translate business requirements into structured solution designs with clear integration points.

Foundational knowledge of SAP solutions (e.g., S/4HANA, BTP), enterprise landscapes, and full lifecycle implementations; exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with a customer‑focused mindset and interest in AI, automation, and value‑driven transformation.

Meet Your Team

You will join the Business Transformation Services (BTS) team, dedicated to helping customers achieve measurable business outcomes from their digital transformation journeys in close partnership with Enterprise Architects, Solution Advisors, Delivery teams, and customer stakeholders. You will work in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment that emphasizes mentorship, structured development, and hands‑on exposure to enterprise‑level transformation initiatives.

Hybrid Work Model

SAP’s hybrid work setup consists of three days a week in the office or on‑site with customers or partners, aligning with country‑specific guidelines and regulations.

Practical Immersion

The program includes a 2‑week intensive phase in San Ramon, California, providing unparalleled hands‑on learning and networking opportunities.

Vacation Policy

As part of the intensive phases, vacation will not be approved during some critical times of the program to ensure maximum learning and success.

Compensation Range Transparency

The targeted combined range for this position is 70,900–159,900 USD. The actual amount offered will be within that range, dependent upon education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, and other factors.
