Position Overview Payroc is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Outside Sales Executive to expand our footprint within the restaurant, hospitality, and nightlife sectors across San Diego County. This role is ideal for a sales professional who understands the fast-paced restaurant environment and can confidently translate operational pain points into tailored POS and payment solutions. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Sales Supervisor, the Outside Sales Executive is responsible for prospecting within an assigned territory, conducting needs assessments, delivering in-person product demonstrations, and closing new business. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to restaurant operators—helping them streamline operations, optimize payment workflows, and enhance the guest experience through Payroc’s POS and payment technology. Success in this role comes from a strong local presence, consistent territory management, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with operators, hospitality associations, and networking groups. Accurate forecasting, disciplined CRM management in Salesforce, and follow-through on customer service action items are critical components of performance. Total Compensation Package
1st Year: $85,000 - $100,000
2nd Year: $100,000 - $120,000
3rd Year: $120,000 - $160,000
Duties And Responsibilities
Prospect and canvass assigned territory for restaurant, bar, nightclub, and hospitality opportunities
Conduct needs assessments and align merchant challenges with Payroc POS and payment solutions
Schedule and deliver in-person sales presentations and product demonstrations
Prepare proposals and close new business
Maintain accurate prospect, customer, and pipeline data in Salesforce
Develop and maintain sales forecasts and reporting
Submit complete and accurate order documentation to internal teams
Build and nurture relationships with hospitality associations and networking groups
Conduct regular in-person check‑ins with existing clients to ensure satisfaction
Follow through on customer service and CSAT action items to completion
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Restaurant or hospitality industry experience required
Working knowledge of POS systems and payment solutions
Strong presentation, communication, and analytical skills
CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
Professional, dependable, and results‑oriented
Ability to manage territory travel and in-person client meetings
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or Hospitality Management
Food service or hospitality technology certifications
Strong familiarity with the San Diego County restaurant market
Established relationships with restaurant operators and decision‑makers in the San Diego area
Working Conditions
Extensive desk‑based work involves prolonged periods using a computer and sitting for extended periods
Frequent interaction with team members, management, agents, Business Development Managers (BDMs), and external partners to facilitate smooth operations and collaborations
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds if needed
