Director of Sales

The Role: Cultivate, Support, and Solve At UNC Group, we don't just sell products; we build the infrastructure that connects the world. We are looking for high-energy, “curious-by-nature” individuals to join our team in Irvine. As an Inside Sales Representative (ISR), you are the backbone of our sales engine. You will manage the vital “farming” of existing accounts, ensuring our partners have everything they need to succeed while masterfully handling the technical and administrative details that keep a global business running.

This is an entry-level “seed” position. We aren't looking for 10 years of experience—we are looking for the right attitude. If you are a recent graduate who loves solving puzzles, thrives on communication, and wants a clear path to a lucrative Account Management career, we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Do Daily

Relationship Farming:

Act as the primary point of contact for established accounts (Distributors, Integrators, and Resellers).

The "Partner" to Account Managers:

As our Account Managers land new accounts, you take the reins—handling quotes, maintenance, and day-to-day needs.

Technical Catalog Management:

Use Excel to manage product data, including titles, descriptions, pricing, and image links. (Accuracy is your superpower here).

Strategic Upselling:

Use your growing product knowledge to identify “add-on” opportunities. (e.g., If a customer asks for a monitor, you’re already asking about their power and AV cabling needs).

Communication & Outreach:

Handle inbound inquiries, follow up on quotes via phone, and execute marketing email blasts to keep UNC Group top-of-mind.

Active Listening:

Dig deep into customer requests with “child-like curiosity” to understand their true project needs.

What You Bring to the Table

The Right Mindset:

A positive, “growth-oriented” attitude. You see a problem and immediately look for the solution.

Communication Skills:

You’re comfortable on the phone, professional in email, and a collaborator on Teams.

Tech Savvy:

You don't need to be a coder, but you should be very comfortable with

Microsoft Excel

and eager to learn Salesforce and Fishbowl.

Education:

A recently completed Bachelor’s degree is preferred (we love “growing our own” talent).

Presence:

This is an on-site role in our Irvine office; we value the energy and mentorship that happens in person.

Compensation:

$25-28 per hour on a 40-hour work week.
