Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Inside Sales Representative to support our growing customer base. This role is responsible for managing inbound inquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders, and collaborating with technical teams to deliver tailored cathodic protection solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform data entry, maintain filing systems, coordinate meetings, manage calendars, and handle various administrative tasks.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of company policies, actively contributing to their successful implementation.
Work effectively with team members, as well as individuals at all levels of management.
Maintain a professional, courteous, and helpful demeanor when interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
Create and maintain spreadsheets ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Review, organize, and save documents systematically in assigned document management systems.
Assist in finalizing external communications to agencies, diligently tracking submitted documentation for proper reporting and record keeping.
Assist in contract documentation, compliance, and internal process improvements.
Work closely with procurement, engineering, field services, and project management teams to ensure proper correspondence and documentation is prepared and communicated.
Handle inbound calls and emails from customers regarding CP products and services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
Educate customers on product features, applications, and benefits.
Prepare quotes for clients and work with procurement for sourcing.
Process quotes through our Business Central accounting system.
Track order status and proactively communicate updates.
Process sales orders and coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery.
Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience
Three or more years of inside sales experience.
High School Diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Must possess a valid driver's license with no prior DUI within 5 years, acceptable driving record, and evidence of insurability for travel purposes.
Prior sales experience in a similar or equal role required.
Upon employment, this position is subject to random drug testing in compliance with federal, state, and company guidelines.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Strong familiarity with standard office equipment.
Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Approximately 85% of the work may be performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds unassisted. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
