This Opportunity For over 40 years the Komline‑Filtra team has specialized in custom engineered industrial and separation filtration solutions serving industries such as metalworking, water/wastewater treatment, chemical, mining, and steel. With over 60 patents and 21,000 systems installed across 37 countries, Komline‑Filtra Systems offers a wide range of products ranging from water purification, coolant/oil filtration, air/mist collectors, and pressure filters.

The role of the Inside Sales Development Representative is to support the sales team with bag filter, backwashable media filter, dewatering, and water purification (PFAS) product sales as well as conducting water sample testing to develop best outcomes in determining the client needs. This is a position for a subject matter expert knowledgeable in the engineering aspect of the products that we produce and can therefore consult and advise clients as to their needs and how Filtra‑Systems can service them. The role requires a flexibility to move freely from the client interaction to the lab environment.

Roles And Responsibilities

Develop an in‑depth understanding of our products, and our customer base by working closely with seasoned staff who will serve as mentors in this role

Learn to manage bag filter product proposal process, quoting, and sales process. $1.4M business annually

Acquire skills to support E‑commerce Sales process and continue to optimize

Conduct intensive testing of water samples to determine the client’s needs and how Filtra‑Systems can best service

Interview potential customers to determine their needs

Use problem‑solving and consulting skills to help customers improve their business

Help support the Spare Parts department with responding to client requests, shipping orders, etc.

Stay abreast of emerging trends in the filtration industry

Be willing to travel by car or airline as needed for customer visits, trade‑shows, and closing deals

Occasional overnight stays when required

Lead and participate in trade‑show seminars relating to our products

Create and perform sales presentations

Follow up promptly on new opportunities

Assist in keeping our website and sales media current and up‑to‑date

Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws

This position’s performance will be measured based on customer satisfaction

Take responsibility for aiding in own self‑development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company

Plan daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output

Keep own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co‑workers. Report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Correct any unsafe conditions as best as one can

Required Qualifications

Chemical Engineering degree with desire to work in sales is preferred and a minimum of one (1) year’s relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience

Strong interpersonal skills – a must

Proven ability to be self‑directed in a lab setting

Good organization and time‑management skills

Ability to practice and promote required safety standards

Working knowledge and ability to review, interpret and apply technical manuals, technical instructions and standard operating procedures in all aspects of quality assurance

Knowledge and ability to collect data, process forms and compose reports

Excellent verbal and written communications skills with ability to interact effectively with a variety of personnel

Proficient skills using Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
