We are currently seeking a motivated and creative entry-level Landscape Designer to join our Chamblee office.
Position Overview As a Landscape Designer at Thomas & Hutton, you will be part of a collaborative studio environment working alongside experienced landscape architects, planners, and engineers on a wide range of public and private sector projects. This role offers hands‑on exposure to all phases of the design process and is an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a supportive, design‑focused firm.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of landscape construction documents, planting plans, and site layouts
Support design development, concept planning, and graphic visualization efforts
Contribute to reports, cost estimates, specifications, and technical exhibits
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout project delivery
Assist with site planning, land development, and permitting support
Participate in design reviews and coordination with senior staff
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
3 - 5 years of professional or internship experience in landscape architecture or related field
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong organizational, communication, and graphic skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Internship or prior office experience preferred
Work Environment & Schedule
Collaborative, studio‑based environment
Standard work schedule: Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Friday: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines
