Dentsu is seeking an Associate Director, Social Media Analytics to lead the evolution of our social performance reporting across clients. This role will focus on automating and scaling recurring reporting (ad hoc, weekly, monthly, and quarterly) by partnering with data, analytics, and technology systems to deliver real‑time insights across paid, organic, and earned social channels.

The ideal candidate blends strong social strategy fundamentals with technical fluency—someone who understands how social data is sourced, analyzed, and transformed into clear, compelling stories that drive client decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of an automated social reporting approach to support ongoing and ad hoc client needs

Define reporting requirements and success metrics across paid, organic, and earned social channels

Partner with platform APIs and data pipelines to ensure real‑time ingestion of social performance dataAnalyze social performance trends and translate data into actionable insights, narratives, and recommendations

Create client‑ready reporting outputs that include dashboards, visualizations, and written performance analysis

Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and clarity across weekly, monthly, and quarterly deliverables

Act as a strategic partner to internal teams and clients by elevating how social data informs integrated marketing decisions

Qualifications

Strong working knowledge of Python, SQL, and API‑based data connections (hands‑on or highly fluent)

Experience with automated dashboards and reporting systems in a social or digital marketing context

Familiarity with AI‑powered reporting and analytics tools, including Claude‑coded AI

Deep understanding of social media performance metrics across paid, organic, and earned channels

Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, client‑friendly insights and narrativesExceptional attention to detail and commitment to data quality

Nice to Have

Experience with Google Looker Studio

Agency experience supporting multiple clients or large‑scale social programs

Exposure to cross‑channel or integrated marketing performance reporting

Employees who live within a commutable distance of one of our hub offices, currently located in Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City, are required and expected to work from the office three days per week (two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles). Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.

The annual salary range for this position is $94,875 - $130,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
