
We are seeking a strategic, well-connected, and media-savvy Public Relations Manager to elevate and protect the brand presence of a premier high-end residential staging company in New York City. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive PR strategy that drives media exposure, strengthens industry positioning, and amplifies our presence within luxury real estate, interior design, architecture, and lifestyle markets.
The ideal candidate has deep relationships within NYC media, understands the luxury design and real estate ecosystem, and can position projects, executives, and company milestones for maximum visibility.
Key Responsibilities Strategic PR & Brand Positioning
Develop and execute a comprehensive PR strategy aligned with company growth goals.
Position the company as a market leader in luxury residential staging and interior styling.
Craft key messaging that aligns with brand voice, values, and aesthetic positioning.
Identify award submissions, speaking opportunities, and industry recognitions.
Media Relations & Press Coverage
Cultivate and maintain relationships with editors, journalists, producers, and influencers in:
Lifestyle and business media
Pitch projects, design trends, company milestones, and executive thought leadership.
Secure placements in print, digital, and broadcast media.
Coordinate press previews, media events, and showroom walkthroughs.
Collaborate with Design and Sales teams to identify media-worthy staging projects.
Develop compelling press kits, media decks, and story angles for high-profile properties.
Coordinate professional photography and ensure assets meet editorial standards.
Track and archive all media placements.
Executive Thought Leadership
Position CEO and leadership team as industry experts.
Secure podcast interviews, panel invitations, speaking engagements, and features.
Draft quotes, bylines, op-eds, and contributed articles.
Events & Partnerships
Support PR initiatives around launches, gallery openings, industry events, and private previews.
Develop partnerships with luxury brands, developers, and real estate brokers.Coordinate guest lists and media invitations for exclusive events.
Crisis Communications
Develop and implement crisis communication protocols.
Manage reputation issues swiftly and professionally.
Draft holding statements and internal communications when necessary.
Reporting & Analytics
Track KPIs including earned media value (EMV), impressions, placements, and brand mentions.
Deliver monthly PR performance reports to executive leadership.
Analyze competitor media presence and market positioning.
Qualifications
5–8+ years of PR experience, preferably within:
High-end lifestyle brands
Strong NYC media relationships (Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, NY Post Real Estate, The Real Deal, Mansion Global, etc.)
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Experience managing press events and media outreach campaigns.
Strong understanding of luxury brand positioning.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple timelines and launches.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
