
Title: Assistant Brand Manager
Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Onsite with one day telecommuting
Salary Range: $70K-$85K
(Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and business needs, in compliance with California pay transparency requirements.)
Responsibilities
Market Research on future beauty trends & top products with competitors.
Execute external briefs for vendor submissions.
Product code and material request & tracking.
Design inspiration and CAD request for new product developments.
Track process of product development from product idea to the purchasing order stage.
Ensure licensor product approvals or feedback in collaboration with the creative team.
Write all product information for packaging and review with regulatory.
Write product claims and review with regulatory.
Track product stability and compatibility testing with regulatory.
Partner with project manager to ensure launches are meeting timeline milestones.
Evaluate and provide feedback on development samples and formulas.
Update Product development tracker as new information is provided with cost, price, master and unit cartons, final legal name, delivery date, etc.
Create product 1-sliders for retailer pitches and integrated marketing decks.
Collaborate with multiple vendors on product ideation.
Qualifications
Excitement and drive to learn and grow
Minimum of 2 years of experience in brand management within the beauty and cosmetics industry, with 1+ years of product development experience
Must be self- starter and a collaborative team player
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to present professionally to cross-functional teams and related vendors
Strong project management and time management skills with an ability to handle multiple projects
High interest in skincare, and knowledge around current trends
Excellent organization skills
Strong desire to work through challenges by implementing creative solutions
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
