Colliers Engineering & Design is currently looking for a Senior Marketing Specialist to join us in our Phoenix, AZ office!

The Senior Marketing Specialist plays a key role in leading complex, high-value proposals and strategic marketing initiatives across multiple offices and service lines in support of the firm's marketing and business development goals. Partnering closely with technical staff, business development, and marketing leadership, this role drives the development of strategic, high-quality proposals, presentations, and client-focused materials that reflect the firm’s brand and expertise.

In addition to managing pursuit efforts, the Senior Marketing Specialist contributes to regional and national marketing initiatives, helping to enhance tools, templates, and processes that improve quality and efficiency, and manages special projects. As a senior member of the regional marketing team, this individual provides guidance and mentorship to peers and junior staff, sharing best practices and fostering collaboration in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

Manage complex proposal efforts from kick‑off to completion, including support of the win strategy, outline creation, content development, layout, and production.

Conduct market and client research, gather competitive intelligence, and provide insights to inform go/no‑go decisions and pursuit strategies.

Lead high‑profile or multi‑discipline proposal efforts, including federal, DOT, and other strategic opportunities.

Develop customized, persuasive, and client‑focused content that differentiates the firm’s expertise and value.

Partner with technical and business development leaders to develop win strategies and messaging that align with the firm’s goals.

Ensure quality, compliance, and brand consistency across proposals, qualifications, presentations, and other marketing deliverables.

Provide QA/QC reviews and mentor Marketing Coordinators and Specialists, offering feedback, training, and guidance to support their professional growth.

Manage special projects such as conference materials, strategic campaigns, and qualifications programs that enhance firm visibility and positioning.

Contribute to regional and firm‑wide marketing initiatives and opportunities to strengthen marketing tools, templates, processes, content, and knowledge sharing – proactively recommend creative solutions.

Set agendas with principals and lead business development meetings, including running meetings, tracking actions, reporting on active proposals and pursuits, and distributing notes and action items after each meeting.

Preference for candidates with architecture experience, specifically with high‑profile design proposals for private developers and brands. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with interior designers and architects on highly graphic proposal deliverables.

Ability to work within existing InDesign templates, while also being comfortable designing new pages from scratch to respond to specific proposal requirements and requests in a highly graphic and compelling way.

Maintain advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office, and other marketing technology platforms.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Associate’s required or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Business Administration or related field.

7+ years proposal writing experience in A/E/C or professional services industry.

In lieu of degree 8+ years of related experience.

Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job‑related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
