General Summary The Consumer Products Graphic Designer works within the creativemarketing team to develop design assets that support LAIKA’slicensing andconsumerproducts.This roleis responsible forcreating composed graphics, vector illustrations, and production-ready assets to support studio product development, style guide and trend pack updates, consumer product initiatives, and licensed goods.Under the supervision of the Creative Design Lead, the Consumer Products Graphic Designer works to ensure all creative output aligns with LAIKA’s aesthetic and adheres to studio and film-specific brand guidelines.

Job Functions

Work with the Creative DesignLeadto supportconsumerproducts andlicensing initiatives by developingcustom graphics and digital artwork for LAIKAonline shop andlicensing programs.

Create both vector and raster-based art assets forstudiostyleguides that adhere toestablished studio and film-specific aesthetics.

Create mockups and product visualizations for internal reviews, approvals, and vendor communications.

Adapt artwork and graphics into various specifications for both digital and print applications.

Support the Creative Design Leadbycompiling visual notes and feedback for licensee and consumer product partners.

Prepare final, press-ready files according to required specifications for various print and digital deliveries.

Support thecreativemarketing team in developing marketing creative for social media, events, emerging media, business development, and broader studio needs.

Maintain and update digital asset libraries, folders, and project files within designated marketing network folders.

Collaborate with the Media Services department on delivering final and layered graphic file types for archival purposes.

Qualifications

3-4 years’ graphic design experience with understanding ofconcept development through production.

Advanced Adobe Creative Suiteproficiency including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Strong illustration skills including high-quality vector artwork (e.g., character art, line art, icons, composed graphics, etc.).

Experience with merchandise, packaging, consumer products, and/or licensing design.

Strong print-production and specialty printing techniques that incorporate tactility and dimensional finishes, with awareness of current design trends.

Solid digital design fundamentals (e.g., typography, composition, layout, vector workflows, etc.).

Knowledge of various media formats, color profiles, and production workflows for both digital and print;proficiencywith CMYK and RGB color spaces.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively.

Excellenttime managementand organizational skills.

Strongcommunicationincluding the ability to incorporate feedback and take direction.

Location On-site in Hillsboro, OR

Salary Salary Is Commensurate With Skills And Experience.
