Job Description The Corporate Communications Specialist supports the development and execution of internal communications, employee experience initiatives, and corporate brand storytelling across our global mining organization. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for writing, designing, and delivering communications that reach a diverse and global workforce. The position works under the direction of the Senior Director, Talent and Communications and collaborates closely with international and local communications partners, functional teams, and senior leaders. This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in the office.

The Day-to-Day

Deliver clear, effective, and timely messaging aligned with SSR Mining’s communications strategy and direction for employees across all levels of the organization

Develop and execute communication plans for enterprise initiatives, including IT, HR, and change management programs

Strengthen employee understanding of company purpose, values, culture, and strategic priorities through consistent, high-quality communications

Write, edit, and design content for email, Teams, intranet, frontline channels, and other internal platforms

Lead the overhaul of the company intranet in partnership with external vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring improved usability and content structure

Support culture campaigns, onboarding communications, and initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience

Create and implement innovative approaches to reach non-desk based and frontline employees across global locations

Executive & Leadership Communications

Draft internal talking points, scripts, presentations, and video messaging for senior leaders

Support planning and content development for town halls, leadership forums, and other executive communication moments

Ensure internal executive messaging is aligned, clear, and reflective of organizational priorities

Corporate Brand & External Support

Maintain consistency in corporate messaging, visual identity, and brand storytelling across internal and external channels

Uphold and apply brand guidelines in partnership with global communications and marketing teams

Provide limited media support for state and local outreach in collaboration with Government Relations and Investor Relations

Contribute to external employer brand and talent attraction communications as needed

Global Collaboration

Coordinate with the global communications team and local site contacts to ensure alignment, content sharing, and consistent messaging across regions

Support global communication campaigns and adapt materials for local relevance where appropriate

Is This You?

Minimum of 7+ years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or a related field

Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex topics

Hands-on experience designing and producing communication materials

Proficiency with SharePoint, Adobe Creative tools

Working knowledge of technology-based communications (Internet/intranet, social media, video, podcasts and other vehicles and their use as part of a strategic communication plan)

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work with minimal oversight

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Team player – ability to influence project teams

Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to communicate effectively at all levels inside and outside the organization in fluid situations

Proven efficiency in project and time management; self-starter with ability to manage own workload

Demonstrated flexibility and ability to remain positive and calm under pressure

Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining high ownership of assigned tasks

Comfort working in a hybrid environment with two days per week in the office

Preferred

Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy-industry environments

Familiarity with employer branding or talent attraction communications

Experience supporting senior leaders with presentations, scripts, and video

Messaging

Familiarity with or ability to speak multiple languages a plus

For applicants residing in CO, the salary range for this role is from $88,000-$108,000.
