Overview The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for collection and curation of supplier product information, as well as its maintenance within the ERP & eCommerce system. The position is also accountable for publishing the product content to the appropriate product groups within the content system hierarchy. Additionally, the Digital Content Specialist will assist in the ongoing development of online content best practices for product information collection, manipulation and publishing. Responsibilities
Partner with suppliers and internal purchasing teams to ensure consistent and accurate online
Product Representation Across All Assigned Categories, Including Product descriptions and marketing copy Technical attribute and value selection, validation, and population Product imagery and supporting documentation Taxonomy, product grouping, and hierarchy strategy Product relationships (product families, variants, affinities, alternates, and substitutions)
Define and document required data points by product category to standardize product information, support scalability, and improve data governance across the platform
Take full ownership of assigned product assortments, ensuring content remains relevant, accurate, complete, and timely throughout the product lifecycle
Ensure all product content aligns with brand identity, editorial standards, and merchandising strategies
Optimize digital content for discoverability and performance, including copy, metadata, descriptions, titles, and alt tags
Maintain proficiency in PIM/CMS platforms, ensuring data integrity and workflow efficiency
Monitor, analyze, and report on content performance using analytics tools to identify optimization opportunities and support data‑driven decision making
Stay current on industry trends, SEO best practices, and eCommerce content standards, recommending improvements as appropriate
Other duties as needed
