Position Summary We are a growing landscaping company seeking a dependable and experienced Roaming Commercial Landscaping Crew Leader to join our team. This position offers strong potential for professional growth while delivering high-quality service to our commercial clients. The role combines hands-on landscaping responsibilities with crew leadership across multiple job sites. Key duties include lawn maintenance, planting bed care, and supervising daily landscaping operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a crew of landscapers across multiple job sites
Perform routine landscaping tasks, including weeding, mulching, pruning, and seasonal plant care
Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and well-maintained
Coordinate and delegate daily work assignments to crew members
Monitor and inspect work to ensure quality standards are met
Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment
Communicate effectively with team members and management
Travel between job sites as required
Uphold safety procedures and company standards
Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial landscaping or groundskeeping
Experience operating landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools
Basic knowledge of irrigation systems, turf care, and planting bed maintenance
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Qualified and able to operate landscaping trucks and tow trailers
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, twisting, climbing, and standing for extended periods
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and noisy environments
Ability to enter timesheets using a smartphone or computer
Ability to pass a background check for work in educational facilities
Must be able to work on a smoke-free campus
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Prior leadership or crew supervision experience is preferred
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills
Willingness to support various grounds or campus needs
