Description Under moderate supervision observes passenger activities on bus or rail station platforms through the use of closed-circuit televisions.

Examples of Duties
Observes train and bus station platforms, ticket vending machines, fare gates, and other structures and facilities via closed circuit television
Provides customer assistance via telephone to patrons who have problems with ticket vending machines, locating lost articles, and rail routing or schedule information
Makes announcements regarding schedule changes, delays in service, out-of-service rail equipment and/or emergencies over the public address system, the variable message system, and Transportation Passenger Information System (TPIS)
Identifies ticket vending machine and fare gate problems; logs and reports malfunctions
Video records criminal activities that are observed at bus or rail station platforms
Logs daily activities and maintains records of observations
Compiles data for computer input to generate various reports
Notifies the proper authorities of any incidents that may occur, including any crimes in progress and crimes reported by victims
Assists supervisory personnel when necessary during emergency situations
Reports medical emergencies to immediate supervisor and appropriate law enforcement agencies for assistance
