The Marketing Operations Specialist plays a key role in implementing localized strategies, leading field execution, and improving operational systems across multiple club locations.

This position is responsible for managing marketing initiatives tied to new club openings, acquisitions, and regional campaigns. The role requires independent decision-making, project ownership, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure marketing initiatives are effectively executed and aligned with company growth objectives.

The Marketing Operations Specialist serves as a bridge between marketing leadership, field teams, and external partners, helping translate marketing strategy into measurable business results.

Position Summary The position blends remote operational planning with on-site coordination during major marketing initiatives and club openings. Success in this role requires very strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives at once, and sound judgment in executing strategies and projects.

The marketing department currently is a team of four (about to be 6 with these two more current openings).

Team & Reporting Vice President of Marketing:

Overseeing department and promotional strategy, along with new club openings.

Marketing & Communications Manager:

Overseeing all public relations, events, and SMS & email communications.

Social Media & Content Coordinator:

Overseeing all social media campaigns and digital ad assets.

Social Media Specialist:

Overseeing all social media deployment at club level. Along with event support.

Communications Specialist (to be hired):

Deploying all SMS & Email campaigns. Along with PR support.

Marketing Operations Specialist (this position) Working with the VP of Marketing to evaluate new markets, building campaign strategy, and understanding the demographics.

While we have 12 existing locations open, we have 12 more being built right now. This person would have a heavy hand in new locations.

Manage new and existing club graphics and signage for the Operating teams. Along with the vendor management to schedule delivery of graphics into the club.

Optimize day-to-day marketing department operational workflows, project management ownership, and recommend new processes on efficiency. There are a lot of projects in collaboration with our New Club Opening team and our Operations team, that need ownership from start to finish- this person would manage those.

It is basically the Swiss Army knife of marketing, part street team spark plug, part behind the scenes operations hero, part road warrior with a laptop.

This role is not a content or social media marketing position. We are looking for a highly organized, execution-focused professional who thrives on coordination, follow-through, sales/operations support, and marketing operational excellence.

This position supports the marketing, sales, and operations team by managing logistics, CRM accuracy, campaign execution, reporting, field coordination, and some administrative marketing functions.

Key Responsibilities New Gym Openings & Acquisitions

Lead implementation and localized adaptation of marketing strategies for new club openings and acquisitions.

Lead routing and pipeline hygiene.

Cross-functional coordination with sales team.

Work with the development team to analyze and evaluate demographics, local market trends, and build strategic campaigns around new markets to support membership growth.

Manage project timelines and vendor coordination for opening and acquisition marketing initiatives.

Oversee development, customization, and deployment of signage, graphics, and in-club marketing materials.

Navigate compliance requirements related to signage, permits, and marketing materials.

Monitor campaign effectiveness and recommend adjustments to improve performance and return on marketing investment.

Local Events & Community Outreach

Support marketing presentation and logistical coordination during community activations.

Analyze performance metrics and recommend future engagement strategies based on results.

Maintain inventory of marketing and event supplies.

Marketing Operations & Process Optimization

CRM management and reporting.

Data entry and reporting accuracy.

Maintain and improve marketing operational systems, asset management processes, and workflow efficiencies.

Vendor and print coordination.

Budget tracking and invoice processing.

Analyze campaign data and operational performance to provide actionable insights and improvement recommendations.

Serve as a liaison between marketing leadership, field operations, and external vendors to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Field Marketing Leadership & Travel Support

Represent the marketing department as a field lead during club openings, acquisitions, and major onsite marketing initiatives.

Direct on-site marketing execution, vendor performance, and brand presentation standards.

Evaluate field marketing results and provide strategic recommendations to improve future campaign performance and operational consistency.

Scope of Authority & Decision Making

Exercises independent judgment when implementing localized marketing initiatives and operational improvements.

Prioritizes marketing projects and allocates resources based on business needs, timelines, and performance objectives.

Recommends marketing strategies, vendor utilization, event participation, and operational enhancements.

Operates with general direction from marketing leadership while maintaining ownership of assigned initiatives and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience managing marketing projects, or operational marketing initiatives preferred

Experience coordinating vendors, marketing campaigns, or marketing initiatives

Strong organization and project management skills

Understanding of the consumer sales process

Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and execution quality

Experience working with CRM systems

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Experience with Canva or similar marketing design tools preferred

Ability to analyze marketing performance metrics and make strategic recommendations

Comfortable handling logistics, reporting, and execution

Willingness to travel and support field marketing initiatives

Valid driver’s license

Comfortable working remotely and independently managing assigned projects
