Overview Cedar Brook Property

is seeking a motivated and skilled Designer to join our dynamic team to support the rapid growth of our residential home investment business. This role is integral to helping shape our brand, adding value to our projects, and supporting our project management team. As a buyer of homes for renovation and resale, our business revitalizes existing residential properties to provide affordable, renovated homes to new homeowners. Our designer will help us create a product that makes a house feel like a home.

About the Role The Designer will collaborate closely with senior management and project management teams, playing a key role in developing and executing our renovation strategy and delivering a product we can be proud of. This position offers a base salary in the range of $65,000 to $75,000 with performance-based year-end bonus and medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off benefits. This is a remote role requiring a home office.

Responsibilities

Driving Results

Working closely with our project management team to add value to our properties across several markets & regions.

Cultivating & updating a design guide that gives our team quick access to the latest trends.

Finding ways to add value to properties, while working within a budget

Strategic Thinking

Staying up to date with the latest trends and industry standards. Then finding affordable ways to integrate them into our properties.

Balancing style with affordability to find consistency in our product at a value that appeals to the mass consumer.

Auditing existing inventory for future design optimization.

Establish purchasing channels and bulk pricing rates for materials and vendors.

Leveraging Technology

Staying up to date with emerging technologies in the real estate industry.

Using CAD to create and share digital models and drawings of properties to improve floor plans.

Collaborating & Influencing

Engage with senior management & project management using strong listening and communication skills.

Providing support to acquisitions to help better establish potential project costs during the acquisition process.

Network with design professionals outside of the organization to influence CB design and provide a baseline product.

Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years of experience in real estate design. (preferably across multiple regions)

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with management, team members, and stakeholders at all levels.

Problem-solving: Exceptional critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze situations.

Organizational Skills: Superior organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient with CAD, Cubicasa, and stay versed in the latest design tech.

Education: Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Reporting Structure The Designer will report to the Director of Operations and work closely with senior leadership across multiple markets, including Dallas-Ft. Worth, Atlanta, Orlando, Cincinnati, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, and other key operational areas. The role will support various functions, including construction, project management, acquisitions, and sales, to ensure the business's design needs are met.
