The role is pivotal for the development of comprehensive project plans that cover scope, timelines, resources, and risk management strategies in support of the Marketing Division. Leveraging expert knowledge of traditional project management alongside Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile frameworks, as well as data‑driven insights, this position will tailor processes and drive cross‑functional creative teams to deliver projects with speed and agility. The Agile Project Manager oversees, directs, and organizes project activities to ensure program goals align with the company’s objectives. As the main point of communication, the Manager keeps all relevant parties informed of plans, status, and changes that might affect effective delivery of projects and overall program initiatives. They must embrace transparency, flexibility, excellent communication, and the ability to influence at all levels.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Project Planning and Execution: Manage multiple projects across Marketing using the basic principles of the project management life cycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure) to ensure successful outcomes.
Develop clear project goals, scope, timelines, and deliverables. Foster an iterative and adaptive approach integrating agile and project methodologies.
Governance and Metrics: Establish effective governance mechanisms for marketing work, defining clear roles, responsibilities, and decision‑making processes. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project progress, quality, and team performance.
Tracking and Reporting: Use agile/project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and Ziflow to manage team work, oversee project progress, track tasks, and maintain transparent communication. Identify roadblocks and proactively address issues, milestones, and dependencies.
Develop and maintain project dashboards, burndown charts, and other visualizations to provide transparency and insights into project status.
Risk and Issue Management: Analyze, assess, and manage project risks and issues proactively. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Regularly communicate with stakeholders and senior management.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders, content strategists, and product owners to gather requirements, align project objectives, and translate visions into actionable plans.
Agile Practices and Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations in project management and Agile practices, incorporating new methodologies and tools to enhance team productivity and project outcomes.
Ensure goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, business needs, quality, and team member performance.
Build and cultivate relationships at multiple levels (Senior Management/project teams) as well as other business units in support of cross‑functional projects. Manage and coordinate cross‑functional teams from different departments. Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as an Agile Project Manager or similar role, successfully delivering complex projects in an Agile environment.
Exemplary verbal, non‑verbal, and written communication skills across all levels of team and management.
In‑depth knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and their practical application in project management.
Ability to interact professionally under demanding circumstances with team members and business stakeholders, articulating Marketing team needs and issues to all stakeholder groups.
Strong leadership abilities with a servant‑leader mindset and a knack for facilitating collaboration and consensus‑building.
Proficiency in work‑management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheets, Confluence, Ziflow, Microsoft Office Suite) and a willingness to explore new technologies and techniques.
Ability to understand complex verbal or written instructions and data processing applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years working in a project management and/or Agile environment or equivalent.
Advanced degree preferred; Agile certifications highly desirable.
Will collaborate with Creative, Content, Production, Product, IT, and Analytics teams.
Experience managing projects in Jira and Smartsheet is a plus.
