What You’ll Do We’re looking for a strategic, curious leader to shape Gallo’s social platform strategy and drive culturally relevant, scalable, consumer‑first content across channels. You’ll lead a team of social and content specialists, maintain deep platform expertise, and partner with Brand, Creative, Media, PR, Legal, MarTech, and Consumer Engagement to ensure cohesive execution.
Build organic content ecosystems and guide creator partnerships.
Advise on social SEO, discoverability, and translate trends into testable experiments.
Own governance and operating standards – social guidelines, compliance protocols, approval workflows, crisis playbooks, and tool relationships.
Set community management expectations for on‑brand, timely audience engagement.
Monitor sentiment, mentor specialists on integrated brand strategies, and maintain a forward‑looking view on platform shifts, alpha/beta opportunities, and AI‑enabled content and listening tools.
Use insights, benchmarking, and performance data to drive continuous improvement, recommend tools and processes, and own the KPI framework and reporting cadence.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of social media marketing, content strategy, content marketing, or digital marketing experience with increasing responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of Gallo sales, digital marketing, advertising, public relations or account management experience, including 4 years of social media marketing management; OR high school diploma plus 9 years of relevant experience.
Proven supervisory experience and the ability to develop employees.
Strong delegation, direction, problem‑solving, conflict de‑escalation, and professional communication skills.
Expertise in using social media platforms, community management tools, and strong analytical skills for data‑driven decisions.
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time for onboarding, training, meetings, and events.
Must be 18 years or older.
How You’ll Stand Out
Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of sales, marketing, advertising, public relations, or account management experience, including 5 years of social media marketing management; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of Gallo sales, digital marketing, advertising, PR, or account management experience including 4 years of social media marketing management.
Experience with social media in an alcohol beverage or CPG company.
Deep understanding of major social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, X) including algorithm behavior, discovery mechanics, and best practices.
Familiarity with web, search, and zero‑click trends and how social intersects with SEO.
Strong understanding of creator ecosystems and experience engaging or managing creators.
Ability to evaluate content for quality, cultural relevance, and brand alignment.
Proficiency using enterprise social tools (e.g., Emplifi, Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Dash Hudson, or equivalent).
