The Discover Kalispell Chamber of Commerce is in the midst of building a strategic movement focused on improving persistent business challenges that include talent, housing, childcare, and the overall business environment. We are growing a team of tenacious and dedicated problem solvers who will work to ensure that our Valley continues positive growth, maintains a robust and supportive business climate, and is a community that values kindness and respect.
Your Day-To-Day
Manage Chamber Events and Programs from Idea to Successful Execution:
Manage RFP process and negotiate agreements that meet the needs of our events.
Manage external vendors and onsite logistics (set-up, coordination, execution, breakdown). Events are physically demanding and you can expect to be lifting, moving, bending and getting some exercise!
Secure hosts, sponsors, attendees and manage speaker relations where applicable

Coaching for Your Success – monthly
Growth Summit – annually
Grand Event & Awards Program -annually
New for 2026: Women’s Professional Business Conference
Coordinate internal and external project teams (including volunteers – Ambassadors), set milestones, and manage resources.
Analyze event data to influence future marketing strategies and propose frequent changes/upgrades to keep events current and relevant.
Manage and Execute Discover Kalispell Chamber Marketing:
Lead planning, execution, and monitoring of digital media and marketing.
Create all Digital postings/event creation for Facebook, Instagram, and website calendar.
Produce new member social media welcome posts.
Ensure timely delivery of results aligned with organizational goals.
New for 2026 – Manage the redevelopment of kalispellchamber.com.
Engage with Members and Sponsors to Foster Collaboration:
Staff liaison to Ambassadors and Downtown Kalispell Forward.
Establish relationships with members and sponsors to ensure positive outcomes and deliverables that exceed their expectations.
Develop solutions that improve member relations and retention through event participation, volunteer engagement, and marketing communications.
Manage communications and events for Downtown Kalispell Forward.
Maintain and Update GrowthZone Database with Membership Contact Notes & Event Creation:
Manage data dashboard for events and tiered membership deliverables
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to track progress and measure impact.
Provide insights for strategic decision-making within the organization.
Must-Have Skills
Business development: Form and nurture long-term member relations that lead to growth opportunities for them and our Chamber.
Flexibility: Adjust to short-term change quickly and calmly so that you can deal with unexpected problems or tasks effectively
Customer service: Maintain a high level of engagement, empathy, problem-solving, and communication with internal and external partners
Project/process management: Manage priorities, processes, contracts, timelines, and task deliverables across a variety of overlapping projects
Public speaking and presentation: Excellent written, phone, and verbal communication abilities that command audience respect
Communication: Written and verbal communication. Must believe there is no such thing as over-communication with the team.
Technological proficiency: Comfort with technology including MS Office 365, Google Suite, basic social media, Canva, Slack, ConstantContact, and contact management. WordPress is a plus.
The Environment The Discover Kalispell Chamber team is dynamic and committed to the success of our organization and community. While team members are given flexibility, they are held accountable for performance measurements to ensure objectives are achieved. Early mornings and occasional evening meetings are a part of our work, and all team members are asked to attend as appropriate. We are a professional business organization and our appearance reflects that. Applicants must be able to travel efficiently to off-site meeting locations. The Chamber team embraces our team values and will seek candidates willing to commit to the culture we have built. We all do what we are asked to keep exceeding our goals.
