
Overview
The Care Director is an integral member of the health services team who reports to the General Manager (GM). The Care Director leads and manages all care team members to include Care Managers (CM), Medication Care Managers (MCM) and Associate Care Directors (ACD). The Care Director works in partnership with the Health Services Director to ensure residents receive assessed care services and to build positive relationships with residents and families through professional and timely communication.
Responsibilities As a Care Director, your contributions to the team may include:
Interviewing, hiring, training and motivating paraprofessional caregivers
Assisting nursing team to complete assessments
Customizing resident service plans to ensure quality of care
Setting standards that create a sense of security for residents
Facilitating information sharing among resident, family and physician on residents’ health care issues
Qualifications Qualifications and Requirements:
Healthcare staff management experience required
Memory Care experience preferred
Experience in training and development
Ability to build a team that works hard, supports one another and builds fun into the job
Experience working with geriatric population is preferred
Understanding memory care programming is desired
A willingness to work the floor and lead by example
