JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the VP, National Sales, the Key Account Manager will strategically cultivate and scale national partnerships. This role will be responsible for maintaining positive business relationships and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets and KPIs across markets. The Key Account Manager will serve as a cross‑functional leader, collaborating with regional wholesale and commercial strategy teams to design and implement initiatives that drive profitability and revenue growth.

CORE JOB DUTIES

Develop and maintain high‑level, multi‑threaded relationships within assigned accounts to serve as a trusted advisor and strategic business partner

Proactively identify, engage, and scale prospective key accounts

Conduct analyses of client sales data to propose high‑performing product assortments and targeted promotional programming

Design and execute growth plans, connecting account‑level revenue and margin targets to company goals

Create and deliver quarterly business reviews that demonstrate ROI, track health metrics, and highlight future opportunities

Orchestrate collaboration within commercial strategy, marketing, and regional wholesale teams to align national account strategy with market objectives

Serve as an industry expert by monitoring competitive activity, emerging trends, and evolving consumer preferences

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

3+ years proven sales experience; cannabis or alcohol sales preferred

Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and own transportation. Company reimburses for mileage.

This position requires the candidate to be based in Chicago with the ability to travel nationally.

Must maintain a high level of integrity, be self‑starting, have good time‑management, and sense of urgency.

Highly motivated and performance‑driven with strong organizational skills.

Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.

Proficiency with MS Office in a Windows environment and familiarity with sales tracking and reporting software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
