The Role at a Glance We are excited to bring on a
National Account Executive
to join our Group Protection Distribution Team supporting Workplace Solutions in a remote environment.
Background Details. The Group Protection Distribution Team is looking for an experienced National Account Executive to join Group Benefits team.
As a National Account Executive for Group Benefits, you will be responsible for managing national accounts, performing both sales and account management activities for one or more assigned national customers. Your portfolio will consist of complex group accounts in the national segment, generally over 5K covered employees. You will assist your customers with the stewardship, renewals and adding additional lines of coverage while ensuring their escalations and needs are being met. This opportunity will provide the ability to grow within the group insurance industry while gaining new skills and building strong working relationships. What you'll be doing
You will build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, buyers, Benefit Managers, key executives and brokers/consultants to facilitate the sale of new products to the client or additional participation on employee paid coverages while also ensuring the retention of existing business.
You will develop, implement and maintain a business plan and client relationships plan to achieve sales, growth and profitability, retention and market share goals for Lincoln’s Workplace Solutions while ensuring overall service needs are satisfied. You will manage and be accountable for renewal/financial strategy on assigned accounts by presenting the renewals to the customer and managing the strategy/process when account team presentation is involved.
You will provide consultative account management services to assigned national clients, providing continual education and counseling to clients on their benefit plans, manage the delivery of services to customer and consistently demonstrate value of these services. You will develop comprehensive understanding of existing/targeted clients including market segments, how they operate, and/or their value propositions.
You will assist large and/or National Accounts Sales Representatives with sales presentations as needed.
What we’re looking for Must-have experience (Required):
4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
5+ Years of experience in group benefits that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this opportunity.
Group benefit product knowledge (Life, Dental, Disability, Worksite, Supplemental Health etc.) as well as process knowledge such as underwriting, etc.
A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations.
Ability to drive performance targets to completion.
Ability to explain complex processes and procedures.
Exceptional communication skills – written, verbal and presentation.

The pay range for this position is $180,000 - $270,000 with
anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range
and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
