Regional Sales Manager – Industrial Products (Distributor Channel)

Under the direction of the VP of Sales, the RSM is responsible to grow the existing territory and help Goff’s distributor partners be successful selling our dock and door products. RSMs will develop and maintain strong value add relationships with business owners, managers, and dealer sales personnel. Goff’s has several hundred distributor relationships within the existing territory and this job requires the management of existing dealers and the responsibility of identifying and signing up new distributors.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supports dealer salespeople with sales presentations, quotations, sales coaching vs. competition, follow up after the sale and on site or online product sales training.

2. Own sales performance within a defined region, ensuring achievement of revenue, margin, and market-share targets.

3. Manage and grow relationships with existing distributors while identifying and onboarding new channel partners.

4. Develop annual territory business plans, including growth strategies, competitive analysis, and resource allocation.

5. Work with the VP of Sales and the rest of the RSM team to determine the annual sales plan for each year in advance.

6. Coordinate with operations and customer service to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolve escalated issues.

7. Build trusting relationships with dealer sales managers and salespeople. This requires some light entertainment and other dealer activities.

8. Ensure dealer issue resolution as required, to maintain superior customer experience.

10. Must be able to work remotely without being micromanaged.

11. Performs other duties as requested.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

1. Reports to the VP of Sales

2. Works closely with all other functional groups.

ABILITIES, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s degree in industrial distribution or business administration or related field.

2. Two years of successful industrial sales experience.

3. Experience selling through industrial/consumer distributors and dealers.

4. Possess a strong work ethic and a desire to win! A competitive nature is required!

5. Excellent sales and communication skills.

6. Attributes desired include: highly motivated, self-starter, enthusiastic, strong relational skills, business acumen, competitive spirit and customer focused.
