Role Summary This is a hybrid (4+1) position based out of one of our locations in Hanover Park, IL; Louisa, VA; or Lake Wales, FL.

Key Account Manager

serves as the primary daily contact responsible for all commercial aspects associated with the account support actions of the assigned customers.

Main Tasks

Responsible for the daily management of all accounts within the sales organization, while aggressively pursuing new growth opportunities — both within existing customers, as well as new customers.

Provide effective management of sales efforts in support of Business Plan Targets in sales, profitability, and AR performance.

Provide regular updates to the Sales Director concerning both current and new potential customer account activities.

Must maintain detailed knowledge of both current and targeted profitability by product group and customer.

Will be responsible for development and successful implementation of innovative new business acquisition strategies within current customer base as well as targeted new customers.

Serves as the primary managerial contact for customers, and is responsible for ensuring both the customer, as well as all appropriate organizations within MANN+HUMMEL are effectively managed.

Must be able to effectively communicate both internally and externally of MANN+HUMMEL organization in support of key projects.

The Key Account Manager may be actively involved in global coordination of key customers.

Your Profile Education

Bachelors in Business Administration, Sales, or related field preferred.

Experience

5 - 10 years’ managing key accounts in big box retail sales environment.

Required Skills

Strong financial and analytical background.

Proficiency working with Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel, PowerPoint).

Creative problem‑solving skills.

Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

Independent thinking and self‑starter with excellent communication skills.

Team player with the ability to effectively participate in larger groups.

Strong technical background and varied product experience.

Successful sales experience in the development of new products and markets.

Ability to aggressively represent company while maintaining excellent relationship with customer base.
