Outside Truck Parts Sales Representative Job Summary Bentley Truck Services is on a mission to become the region’s top choice for medium-duty truck parts—and we’re looking for driven professionals who want to grow with us. You do not need extensive mechanical experience to succeed in this role. We welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds who bring motivation, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. Primary Responsibilities
Manage Sales Territory: Serve as the primary representative within an assigned territory, conducting regular in-person visits to fleet operators, repair shops, and municipal clients to build and maintain strong partnerships.
Develop Product Expertise: Participate in company-provided training to develop a strong understanding of heavy-duty and medium-duty truck parts, enabling you to confidently recommend solutions that meet customer needs. You’ll become the "go-to" person for customers who need to keep their trucks on the road.
Generate and Maintain Business: Proactively identify new sales opportunities while nurturing existing accounts to foster long-term customer relationships and sustained revenue growth.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Basic knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts or mechanical systems preferred (training provided).
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
Self-motivated professional and a willingness to learn the commercial truck industry.
Results-oriented individual that is motivated to achieve goals and contribute to the company’s growth.
Effective time manager and one that knows how to effectively take initiative in the field.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving records.
Working Conditions
This position involves regular travel within an assigned territory and may require lifting materials consistent with industry standards.
Moderate to high noise levels due to proximity to shop areas.
Occasional exposure to fumes and shop environment conditions.
Work performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
