JOB SUMMARY The Avionics/Mods Sales Manager will be responsible for driving profitability in the US Service Network through market development and modification sales. Duties will include setting strategy with the Aftermarket Innovation team, establishing marketing plans, leading the sales process, and closing high-value deals for US service network. Manager of Mods/Avionics will be the modifications focal point for the entire Service Center network and drive revenue growth for all Textron Aviation Citation, Hawker, and Beechcraft products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops and implements systems to ensure priority high-dollar upgrades are thoroughly communicated to relevant audiences

Develops and implements marketing strategies in conjunction with Innovation Team & Customer Service Marketing team to increase customer awareness of product offerings to improve aircraft performance, address obsolescence and contribute to the financial goals and objectives of the company

Monitors and drives robust aftermarket mod pipeline development. Communicate and collaborate with other managers and General Managers (GMs) in support of meeting the service network overall business goals

Researches and identifies potential sales opportunities using available reports and tools. Actively seeks and identifies opportunities. Aggressively pursues sales leads provided by Textron Aviation employees and satisfied customers.

Grow personalized business relationships with customers, vendors, service center staff, and proposal team to benefit the customer and Service Center network

Plans and executes sales initiatives, customer events and promotions to drive business to the Service Centers. Leads a shift in the Aftermarket Sales organization from a “Mx due focus” to a “Large mod focus.”

Makes appropriate recommendations to Innovation team on competitive products, pricing, and improvement at the service center execution level. Contributes to project prioritization

Periodically benchmarks service network against other regional service providers

Attends sales meetings and aviation conferences/conventions as a marketing representative for the service network

Provides periodic sales reports to the Customer Service leadership and GMs as requested (e.g. sales trend analysis, projected mod volume by quarter, sales forecasts) for the use in annual budgets, staffing, and long-term planning

Works with Aftermarket Data Analysis group to develop relevant metrics, analytics, and standard reports that can be shared with GMs, Sales, and Aftermarket Upper Management

Maintains and improves product knowledge by participating in training programs, outside seminars, reading product literature and publications

Follows up with customers to review expectations and ensure satisfaction after service is completed

Disseminates information to Service Center staff to strengthen service quality and financial success

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree required; engineering discipline preferred.

Minimum 7 years of relative customer support or avionics/electrical experience required, preferably in the aviation industry.

QUALIFICATIONS

SFDC and the Microsoft suite experience preferred

Candidate must be able to work in an autonomous self-directed environment to achieve the marketing strategies and sales control systems set forth by the company

Candidate must possess strong communication skills to work with colleagues and customers while communicating the benefits of technical modifications

Candidate must be willing to travel at least 33% of the time in all associated markets

Engineering background, A&P or pilot license preferred
