The Hill is seeking a full‑time Account Manager, working within our DC & National sales teams. The AM will be the conduit between sales, ad operations, marketing, and other relevant teams to ideate and manage campaigns for The Hill’s clients.
Responsibilities
Support development of RFP process, strategically addressing the needs of clients and campaign objectives
Build and revise media plans, managing product availability and ensuring all inventory is up‑to‑date for internal teams
Coordinate campaign launch and delivery with ad operations, branded content, events, and/or other teams relevant to campaigns
Manage wrap ups and coordinate with sales representatives for potential upsell opportunities
Ensure all reporting and necessary campaign communications are delivered to the client and/or agency in a timely manner
Coordinate with ad operations and relevant teams throughout campaigns to ensure full completion, optimizing when necessary
Own organization of assigned accounts, inclusive of the maintenance of IO/budget tracking sheets, creative trafficking documents, internal to‑do lists, etc.
Master internal workflow system and order management system to maintain inter‑departmental organization and streamline communication
Understand the full suite of The Hill products (digital, video, branded content, print, events, etc)
Maintains an understanding of up‑to‑date digital offerings, IAB standards, and best practices, ensuring all media meets industry standards
Maintain frequent communication to ensure all campaign initiatives are in alignment
Work to ensure campaigns are transitioned and executed according to plan; pivot based on any in‑campaign optimizations and revisions
Requirements / Qualifications
Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with 3‑5 years publishing, media, advertising, sales experience
Strong experience in digital sales planning
Must be able to multi‑task, have strong organizational skills, and work in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines
Must have strong interpersonal skills, with highly collaborative style
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
Detail oriented, with strong analytical skills
Knowledge of Google advertising platforms (Google Ad Manager-DFP, Google Analytics), and/or other relevant advertising platforms
Proficient in Keynote, PowerPoint, Excel
