About the Role The Internal Communications team at PitchBook is instrumental in building and preserving our unique company culture by making sure our teams have the information they need to be successful in their jobs. We lead the planning, implementation, and constant improvement of employee communications focused on topics such as business performance, strategic initiatives, and operational updates. The Internal Communications team is responsible for producing engaging internal campaigns, creating effective employee communication strategies, and planning and implementing key meetings and events.

PitchBook's Senior Designer, as part of the Internal Communications team, is responsible for designing presentations, templates, newsletters, training resources, and employee engagement and communications materials for use by PitchBook leaders and employees. This role brings a strategic perspective to designing materials that are simple, elegant, on brand, and tell a story with data at the center.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Partner with Internal Communications, Executive Leadership, and teams across PitchBook to create visually impactful presentation decks for all-company meetings, monthly business reviews, Coffee Chats, and other executive-level events, including Board of Directors and Shareholder meetings

Adhere to and evangelize internal brand templates and guidelines

Work with the Employee Engagement team to create designs for events, posters, t-shirts, celebrations, stickers, and other swag for employees

Consult with teams and create updated designs for newsletters, email headers, digital signage and other communication needs

Monitor and track channel metrics to set goals and continuously improve engagement with our internal communications materials and campaigns

Apply expertise to visualizing data in a data-driven environment, and be comfortable manipulating these data-visualizations in Excel

Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors

Partner with the Marketing team designers on internal-facing designs

Publish monthly articles on our company intranet

Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

7+ years of graphic design experience working for a corporation or an agency, including proficient training in presentation design, typography, layout, and data visualization

Ability to communicate complex ideas and data graphically within brand guidelines and voice

Adobe Creative Suite knowledge and proficiency

Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to learn new systems and software quickly

Understanding and experience designing presentations in Keynote a plus

Understand the latest design trends and related software capabilities

Experience with motion design, UX/UI principles, and video editing a strong plus

Proven ability to deliver on deadline, even under tight timelines with competing priorities, while remaining calm and focused

Superior verbal and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Strong attention to detail, including data accuracy

Experience interacting with executive leaders

Ability to communicate design direction and justifications

Effective listening skills and ability to ask clarifying questions

Respect for others' perspectives and contributions; can offer and accept feedback

Professional portfolio of work that demonstrates ability to design materials that integrate content to tell a story, engage, inform, or inspire a target audience

Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Compensation

Annual base salary: $125,000-$135,000

Target annual bonus percentage: 10%

Working Conditions At the heart of our company is a belief in the power of in-person collaboration. This role is expected to be in the office 5 days a week.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
